There comes a point in every man's life when he develops an inexplicable attachment to a shed.
It starts innocently enough. A few tools. Some leftover paint. A radio that barely works. Before long, however, the shed becomes something else entirely: a sanctuary. A place for contemplating jobs, storing things that "might come in useful one day", and escaping the rest of the household for half an hour.
Which is why, when it came to putting together our Father's Day box this year, the shed felt like the natural setting.
Naturally, once we'd settled on the shed, the conversation quickly turned to steak.
The only question was which one.
The answer, as it turns out, was two.
Because not all dads approach steak in the same way.
Some appreciate balance. The best of both worlds. For them, we've included the option of a magnificent 1kg Porterhouse – one side Sirloin, one side Fillet, separated by that iconic T-shaped bone. Rich flavour, incredible tenderness and everything we love about traditional steakhouse dining.
Others prefer something a little more direct.

For them, there's the 1kg Bone-in Ribeye. Deeply marbled, gloriously rich and packed with character, it's the sort of steak that turns a simple barbecue into an event.
Whichever route you choose, every steak has been selected by our butchers and aged to perfection before heading out for Father's Day weekend.
Because while we enjoy a joke, we're deadly serious about steak.
To accompany the beef, we've teamed up with our friends at Billericay Brewery, a fiercely independent Essex brewery producing some cracking beers just a few miles down the road.
First up is My Old Man (3.9%), a traditional amber bitter that feels entirely appropriate for the occasion. Balanced, sessionable and refreshingly free from gimmicks.
Then comes Citra (4.4%), one of the brewery's most popular beers. Single hopped and packed with bright citrus character, expect notes of grapefruit and tropical fruit with a crisp, refreshing finish.
Finally there's Rhythm Stick (4.8%), a smooth chestnut-coloured ale with plenty of malt character, gentle caramel sweetness and a satisfyingly moreish finish.
Together they make a rather fine Father's Day drinking session.
So whether your old man is happiest behind a barbecue, hidden away in the shed, or quietly supervising everyone else's work from a comfortable distance, we've got Father's Day covered.
Just don't leave it until the last minute.
The Turner & George Father's Day Steak & Beer Box is available for delivery from Thursday 18th June to Saturday 20th June only.
And yes, before you ask, we really did photograph it in a shed.
