Yep, we've called it. Our DIY Cow Pie Kit is back in play and back online to order. And to be frank, the timing couldn't be better.

The change of weather and nights drawing in have certainly influenced decisions here, but it was a lunchtime meeting at T&G HQ last week wot broke the camel's back.

Upon surveying the spread of crudités, dips and sandwiches (with crusts cut off) all laid out on the table, a fist was promptly brought down with a thump, followed by - 'What's with all this finger food? It's cold out there! WHERE ARE THE PIES, MAN?!'

We hasten to reveal as to who actually made this proclamation, but as the tzatziki dripped down from the ceiling, the rest of the team agreed that he had a very good point.

So here we are, delicious and warming pies are back on the menu for Autumn and better still, we have taken a lot of the legwork out of the prep by slow-cooking the oxtail, shoulder and cheek meat mix (plus veg) for you in advance.

It is now just a case of switching on the oven, rolling out the suet crust and tucking into a pie dish, fixing your bone marrow chimney in the centre, spooning some luxurious beef cuts all around, popping a rough puff pastry lid on top; then crimp, egg wash and bake for 50 minutes.

Job done.

The only snag is that for the time being, a limited amount of kits will be going on sale every week. So when the pies are gone, the pies are gone.

Don't panic and get all tetchy though, this is temporary and we have plans to increase production.

If you do miss out and get all hangry, go into the kitchen, grab some pitta bread and look upwards. There's bound to be something hanging around.

UPDATE - WE ARE CURRENTLY PRODUCING 25 PIE KITS A WEEK. KEEP AN EYE OUT ON OUR SOCIALS WHEN THE NEXT BATCH WILL DROP.
