Sometimes in life, you just want things to do exactly what it says on the tin.
And perhaps the title of this latest event at Turner & George is a touch too succinct.
But when it comes to encapsulating the true essence of the experience that we are putting together over at EC1, on Wednesday 30th October, this does just the job.
'Beef, Beer, Meet The Farmer.'
It doesn't get any better than that now, does it?
OK, OK, we really should expand a bit further.
So as per our last foray, the main aim of the night is to simply connect people with the independent farmers that we source from. To showcase the work they do, to give you the story behind the scenes and of course, to sample the fine meat that they produce
In this case, we have got father and daughter team, Geoff and Emily Warrener from Holly Lodge Farm, in the house.
Based in Cambridgeshire, they are a prime example of how farms are now diversifying and expanding - they run a dog training field and will soon by providing pooch-friendly cottages for walkers and ramblers. However with Geoff's expertise and experience in rearing premium cattle, along with Emily's background in food technology, beef remains the core of the business.
As always, the evening will be informal and fun, with Head Butcher Tom demonstrating how to break down a forequarter of beef from their farm (which will have been aged for 42 days). Geoff and Emily will be presenting their story and knowledge. And we'll have cold beer, wine and the BBQ raring to go.
